- successfully defended businesses and individuals charged with violating
covenants not-to-compete, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract
and related claims in connection with start-ups of new businesses;
- successfully represented contractors and owners in large and small
construction contract claims;
- successfully asserted claims on behalf of individual investors for
violations by broker-dealers of state and federal securities laws;
successfully advocated the passage of important legislation before
the Louisiana legislature;
- defended the constitutionality of major state taxing legislation
in litigation brought by a major Louisiana bank;
- successfully challenged the process by which a Louisiana court allotted
its cases in a case of great procedural importance for the entire state
of Louisiana;
- represented a major national communications company in the successful
acquisition and establishment of a statewide telecommunications system;
- drafted many important pieces of zoning and land use regulation and

entities and private entities responsible for the operation of a major
